 How does HEALING happen?

A Christian Science Practitioner can help you through prayer.

What if I need practical help?

A Christian Science Nurse has the skills needed.

The purpose of the church founded by Mary Baker Eddy is β€œto commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing.”                                                         Manual of the Mother Church 17:8

Mrs Eddy understood that the healing works of Jesus were based on scientific principles or laws which she discovered as she studied the Bible.  Having proved the validity of these principles she wrote them in a book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, so everyone could practice this art of healing, as did Christ Jesus, our Master practitioner.

Each member of our church strives β€œto demonstrate by his or her practice, that Christian Science heals the sick quickly and wholly, thus proving this Science to be all that we claim for it.”  Man 92:7

This personal daily practice can be developed into a full time practice or job as a Christian Science Practitioner.  Anyone can ask a Practitioner to help them overcome any problem and gain healing. This spiritual treatment will be done through prayer alone.  To find a Practitioner look in the directory of the magazine, the Christian Science Journal, published monthly by The Mother Church and available at Christian Science Reading Rooms or find out on line.

A Christian Science Nurse can provide some physical assistance such as dressing wounds, help with feeding, mobility and physical care while the individual is relying on Christian Science treatment for healing.  The nurse brings a sense of joy, love and expectation of good to the situation and so supports the prayers of the patient and the Christian Science Practitioner. Find a nurse in the Journal or on line.
